Her work has been compared to both Sally Rooney and Zadie Smith. Amber read English Literature at Trinity College, Cambridge and has an MFA in Fiction from New York's Columbia University.

She has written for The London Review of Books, The Paris Review, The TLS, The New Yorker, The FTThe GuardianThe Telegraph, and The Drift. In 2019 she became one of the London Library's debut Emerging Writers.

Amber lives in Brixton and is currently working on her second novel. She is represented by Emma Paterson at Aitken Alexander Associates.
